What does an 'F# E#' error code (such as F1 E1 or F3 E1) mean?

If a code beginning with an 'F' appears in the display, alternating between F# and E#, the dryer control has detected a problem that requires service. You should call for service to have the dryer inspected and repaired by a qualified technician. (Page 17)
