How do I winterize my washing machine before storage?

Shut off both water faucets and disconnect and drain water inlet hoses. Pour 1 quart (1 L) of R.V.-type antifreeze into the basket. Run the washer on a drain and spin setting for about 30 seconds to mix the antifreeze with remaining water. Finally, unplug the washer or disconnect power.
