How do I add oil to the engine before first use?

Place the snow blower on a flat, level surface and locate the oil filler cap/dipstick, which is on the left side of the shroud or at the rear depending on the model. Remove the cap/dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it in, then remove it again to check the level. If low, slowly add oil until the level reads between the upper and lower marks, being careful not to overfill, as overfilling may cause smoking, hard starting, or spark plug fouling. (Page 8)
