Why are my dishes coming out with white spots or cloudy film?

White spots or cloudy film are typically caused by hard water minerals; soak the affected item in white vinegar for 5 minutes — if the cloudiness disappears, it is hard water residue. To address this, always use rinse aid, use fresh high-quality detergent, and adjust detergent amounts to match your water hardness.
