What items should NOT be washed in the dishwasher?

Several items should not be washed in the dishwasher, including cast iron (seasoning is removed and iron rusts), wooden ware (can warp, crack, or lose finish), tin (can rust), gold-colored flatware (will discolor), and disposable aluminum pans (may shift and transfer black marks). Hollow-handle knives, pewter, brass, bronze, and bottles or cans with glued labels are also not dishwasher safe. (Page 19)
