How do I safely clean spills like sugar, milk, or melted plastic from a hot cooktop?

Dry sugar, sugar syrup, tomato products, milk, and melted plastic or foil require immediate removal while the surface is still hot using only the razor blade scraper. Hold the scraper at a 30-degree angle and push the soil off the heated area, wearing an oven mitt. After the surface cools, remove any residue and apply Cooktop Cleaning Creme. (Pages 9–10)
