Why does my heating element keep cycling on and off?
Bosch Bosch Cooktop (5060003838_C) ·
This is normal behavior — each UltraSpeed heating element has a temperature limiter sensor that automatically cycles the element on and off to protect the glass ceramic surface from extreme high temperatures. However, excessive cycling can also be caused by a warped pan base, a pan too small for the element, boiled-dry contents, or a pan material that transfers heat too slowly. (Page 5)
