How should I clean spills like sugar syrup, milk, or melted plastic from the cooktop?

Dry sugar, sugar syrup, tomato products, milk, and melted plastic or foil require immediate removal using the razor blade scraper, even while the surface is hot. Hold the scraper at a 30-degree angle and push the soil off the heated area, taking care not to gouge or scratch the glass. After the surface cools, remove the residue and apply Cooktop Cleaning Creme. (Pages 9–10)
