Why does the heating element cycle on and off more than usual?
Bosch Bosch Cooktop (5060003838_C) ·
Excessive cycling is caused by several conditions: the base of the pan is warped and not making full contact with the heating surface, the pan is too small for the element, the pan has boiled dry, or the pan material is a poor heat conductor. The temperature limiter operates automatically to protect the glass ceramic surface from extreme high temperatures, so some cycling is always normal. (Page 11)
