If the device is unresponsive, use a pin with a blunt end to hold the reset button for more than 10 seconds, which will force the device to power off. You can then restart it by switching the mode dial or pressing the shutter button. To reset all parameters to default settings, turn on the device, press the reset button and the shutter button at the same time, and the device will restart automatically. (Page 6)
How do I pair the IVY-REC Camera with my smartphone for the first time?
Turn the mode dial to wireless mode, then open the Canon Mini Cam app and tap 'Add Device' under the main menu. Follow the onscreen instructions for pairing, and the Status LED will turn green once pairing is successfully completed. Note that the device will exit pairing mode if no new pairing request is received from a compatible smartphone within 3 minutes. (Page 10)
How long does it take to fully charge the IVY-REC Camera, and how do I know when it's fully charged?
A full charge takes approximately 180 minutes. During charging, the Mode LED will turn red, and once fully charged, the Mode LED will turn green. Be sure to use the supplied USB cable for charging. (Page 7)
What is the maximum water depth and duration the IVY-REC Camera can handle?
The camera can be used at a water depth of up to 2M (6.6 ft.) for up to 30 minutes, provided the Side Cover is closed tightly. After use in salt water or chlorinated water, rinse the device with clean water and dry it completely with a soft cloth, as failure to do so may cause corrosion or affect waterproof performance. The waterproof performance is not guaranteed if the camera has been subjected to strong impacts or excessive shocks. (Page 5)
How do I record a video using the IVY-REC Camera without the app?
In Video Mode, press the shutter button once to start recording; the Status LED will blink slowly in red to indicate recording is in progress. Press the shutter button again to stop recording. The maximum video length per clip is 10 minutes. (Page 12)
Is it safe to use the IVY-REC Camera near someone with a cardiac pacemaker?
No — the product is embedded with magnets, which may cause malfunctions in implanted electronic devices such as cardiac pacemakers. If interference occurs, immediately distance the camera from the implanted device and consult a doctor. (Page 3)
