For a standard side-by-side installation, allow 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) of space on each side and at the top, and 2 inches (5.08 cm) of space behind the refrigerator. When installing next to a fixed wall, leave a minimum of 2 inches (5.08 cm) on each side to allow the doors to swing open fully.
