Press and hold the LIGHT/FILTER button for more than 3 seconds to reset the filter indicator after the water filter has been replaced. It is recommended that you replace the filter when the water filter indicator light reaches 0 or whenever the water or ice cube taste deteriorates noticeably. (Page 20)

The automatic ice maker requires water pressure between 147 and 834 kPa (1.5~8.5 kgf/cm²), equivalent to filling an instant paper cup (180 cc) within 3 seconds. If water pressure does not reach the minimum 147 kPa, you will need to purchase a separate pressure pump for normal automatic icing and cool water feed. (Page 16)

The deodorizer can be reused by drying it well with a hair dryer. To disassemble it, unscrew the deodorizer cover using a (+) screwdriver, then pull the cover off to separate it. (Page 28)

If you plan not to operate the refrigerator, remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odor formation. For average-length vacations, you can leave the refrigerator in operation and place freezable items in the freezer for longer life. (Page 32)

Press the EXPRESS FRZ. button once to activate the Express Freezing function, and the EXPRESS FRZ. icon on the display panel will illuminate. This function runs the freezer compartment at the coldest setting for a 24-hour period, increasing icemaking by up to about 20%, and then turns off automatically. Press the button again to cancel the function. (Page 20)

Allow your refrigerator to run for at least three to four hours before putting food in it. Check the flow of cold air in the freezer compartment to ensure proper cooling. Putting food in before it has cooled could cause the food to spoil or a bad odor could remain inside. (Page 14)

The recommended fridge set temperature in normal ambient conditions is 3°C to 4°C. The recommended freezer set temperature in normal ambient conditions is -17°C to -19°C. The displayed temperature is the target temperature, not the actual temperature of the refrigerator. (Page 15)

Call the LG service center first, then lock the display by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. Hold your phone's mouthpiece to the speaker on the right hinge of the refrigerator door, then press and hold the Freezer Temperature button for three seconds until you hear three beeps. The tone transmission takes about 3 seconds, and the display will count down the time. (Page 31)

Check that the refrigerator display control is not set to OFF, and cancel OFF mode if needed. If recently installed, it may take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. If the refrigerator was moved on its side, it must stand upright for 24 hours before connecting to power. (Page 32)

Press and hold the Lock button for 3 seconds or more to activate the Control Lock function, and the Lock icon will display. To disable the Lock function, press and hold the Lock button for approximately 3 seconds again. When power is initially connected to the refrigerator, the Lock function is off by default. (Page 15)

Wash the inside of the refrigerator with a mixture of baking soda and warm water — mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 litre of warm water. Make sure the baking soda is completely dissolved so it does not scratch the surfaces. Both the refrigerator and freezer sections defrost automatically, but you should clean both sections about once a month to prevent odors. (Page 30)

Express Freeze increases both ice making and freezing capabilities by maintaining the freezer at the coldest temperature. When you touch the Express Freeze button, it will continue for 3 hours and then automatically disable itself. You can stop the function manually by touching the button one more time. (Page 15)

Food with high water content placed near an air vent can freeze, so rearrange items away from vents. The refrigerator temperature control may also be set too cold — adjust it one increment at a time and wait for the temperature to stabilize. Additionally, if the refrigerator is installed in a location below 41°F (5°C), food can freeze in the refrigerator compartment. (Page 34)

The refrigerator should always be plugged into its own individual properly grounded electrical outlet rated for 230 Volts, 60 Hz, AC only, and fused at 15 or 20 amperes. It is recommended that a separate circuit serving only this appliance be provided. Do not use an extension cord or an outlet that can be turned off via a remote switch. (Page 10)

Set the Hygiene Fresh filter to the POWER setting to address unusual odors. If the odor does not go away within 24 hours, the filter may need to be replaced — refer to the Replacing the Hygiene Fresh filter section for instructions. Also ensure the refrigerator is not located near a fire source such as a fireplace, chimney, heater, or candle, which can cause dust or soot buildup. (Page 36)
